Douglas Daly Tourist Park: Oolloo Road, Douglas Daly
Douglas Daly Tourist Park
Douglas Daly Tourist Park provides campsites under large, shady trees with some grass underfoot. Both powered and non-powered campsites are available as well as cabins to hire. The park is also in charge of the Douglas Daly Esplanade bush camps. The roadside café with licensed bar and restaurant provides good hearty pub food. Ice, milk, cool drinks are on sale. Fuel station/ pups are located just in front of the café.
We have camped on the banks of the Douglas River in the park and we had a great time. The amenities were kept clean and the staff were very helpful. We have had dinner in the restaurant and found it to be good quality pub-style food. The powered sites are quite close together and the park is easily filled up over dry season long weekends. Booking over these periods is essential.
Warning: Saltwater crocodiles inhabit both the Douglas and Daly Rivers – please observe the signs regarding safety, and swim at your own risk.
